Many women are clueless when it comes to choosing the perfect color for their makeup. Some try to follow the trends, but they do not realize that what may be the in color for the season may not look good on them. The important thing that we women should always keep in mind is that the colors of our makeup should complement the colors of our eyes and skin tones. There are colors that look great on women with darker skin tones but look horrible when used by a woman with fair, pink-toned skin...more click on heading

Powders
They cut excess shine by giving a matte finish and add sheer hint of gleam. They don’t settle in lines and creases. Depending on what shade, they may help conceal your bad area of your skin like a rosy shade gives fatigued skin a last minute lift. Pale gold or apricot shades for extra warmth look and bronze create a sunny effect.

Foundations
When applying a foundation use your finger and not sponge. The warmth of your fingers helps blend the product for realistic result. Try using sheer liquids for a quick fix. It gives total coverage without creating a mask effect. The pigments of the sheer liquid are translucent and they just smooth out any differences in texture or color without hiding the real look of the skin. They hide imperfections but they’re undetectable to the skin...more click on heading

Tips for removing BlackHeads

Posted on Mar 06 2007 12:57 AM by Blogging Maria

The presence of blackheads and whiteheads on the skin is a common problem for those in their teens and up. Teenagers and people in their early twenties suffer most from them, but even those who are in their thirties and forties can still have them too, especially those with oily skin.

Both blackheads and whiteheads are forms of acne. We may have thought of acne as limited to those red, bumpy pustules, but that is not so. All forms of acne are considered disorders of the pilosebaceous units of the skin, which are made up of the sebaceous glands, the hair follicle, and the hair strand itself. And like all acne, the problem with blackheads and whiteheads starts deep down the sebaceous glands, or oil glands...more click on heading

The handbag is the most important accessory in your wardrobe. In choosing a handbag, purchase a neutral shade or multicolored that will go most of your wardrobe. It doesn’t have to match each of your outfit but there should be some coordination. The style and the size is your choice as long as it will carry what you need.

Sexy Lip Secrets

Posted on Feb 23 2007 12:04 AM by Blogging Maria

1. Make sure that you pencil is sharp. Dull liner takes dull effect. You don’t want a dagger, either, so twist it in a sharpener two times.

2. If you line your whole mouth they will look unnatural. Focus on the top lip. It’s usually the one that needs definition: Using feathery strokes, work from the middle out to one edge, then to the other. Line only the center of your bottom lip and don’t apply on the corner.

3. Always blend downward. Blending upward makes liner more likely to bleed.

4. If you are not sure with the color try a pinky-nude. It works for most skin tones.

Go monochrome

Monochromatic dressing (one colour from head to toe) makes anyone look taller and slimmer. Tone-on-tone colouring was a key trend on the runways for spring and is a style that makes anyone leaner.

Get a leggy look

Legs will look longer and slimmer if you always closely match your hose to your shoes and skirts. For a print skirt, use the background colour to find hose in a similar tone.

Hosiery tips

Two-tone shoes pose a dilemma when selecting hosiery. Always wear a neutral colour hose or match your hosiery to the lighter colour in the shoes. Never wear nylons that are darker than the lightest colour in the shoes.
