Q: I want to wear red lipstick, but have no idea what shade I should buy. Help! A: It all depends on your skin tone. To determine which shade looks best on you, head to a place where you can try on lots of different red lipsticks from a slew of different brands -- like Sephora, Ulta, or a department store.

Gah! This freezing cold’s been suckin’ the moisture clean out of my lips. If it’s not the dry chill in the air outside, it’s the heater running indoors all night long. My lips need help! I’m hoping these new Mango Lipsticks from the Korres Delight Your Lips Set do the trick because I love the way they look. Korres released several holiday value sets this year.

We know our next winter product won't just appeal to brides, but we think it's definitely a bridal must have, after all noone wants to kiss their groom with dry chapped lips. Wedding stress plus the effects of the winter weather and central heating can play havoc with your lips making them dry and chapped.

Black lipstick is for Goth chicks, KISS tribute bands and Lily Munster right? Well, apparently, it's now for fashion trendsetters, too. Rachel Roy, Yves Saint Laurent and Alexander McQueen are among the designers who chose to send models with black pouts down their runways. Cosmetic companies are joining the dark side, too. MAC's Style Black collection includes black lipstick and gloss..

Lip gloss and lip shine comes in tubes and pots that are convenient to use and give a shimmer and shine to your lips that you have always wished for. They can last for long periods of time and can be water-resistant. They can be applied either over the lipstick or alone for a more natural and nude lip look. Lip-gloss helps to add more volume to your lips and make them look fuller and highlight them on the face.

Stila, another casualty of the recession, looked like it had gone for good earlier in the year, before it emerged that that the popular mineral makeup brand had been rescued by a new buyer. But it's still not good news for fans of Stila in the UK, as the products will no longer be available outside the US.

Now that she's back on our screens as the enigmatic Echo in geek drama Dollhouse, I'm developing a bit of a girl-crush on Eliza Dushku, who's best known as gothic superheronie/villain Faith in Buffy the Vampire slayer. Eliza looks strikingly different now without those dark red lips - which came to be one of Faith's defining characteristics - but if it's a look you loved, Urban Decay have got a lipstick that Faith would have happily killed for.

Be careful while choosing the lip color and try it out in a cosmetic salon first and let them assist you in your color choices. For women with large lips, muted colors such as purples, browns and bronzes are the best choices while women with thinner lips should use light colors. Wine, berry, cappuccino and mauve colors suit light blondes best while coral, apricot and shades of peach are suitable for blondes that have a golden hue. Warm peach, brown and terracotta shades are for blondes that sport olive skin tones.

When I wrote about Carolina Herrera's beautiful floral wedding gown a week ago, I wasn't expecting to see many more patterned dresses appear quite so soon - especially not on real brides! But today I spotted these delightful pics of artist and designer Kimi in her custom-made wedding gown that's decorated with a beautiful silhouette pattern featuring greenery and birds. I'm starting to seriously approve of this trend, which seems to be emerging from the grass roots. Let's hope more of the big note designers take heed and bring out more delightfully decorative gowns soon!

Crazy as it sounds, this actually happened to the late Kevyn Aucoin, considered by many to be the best celebrity and fashion makeup artist EVER. During his short life, he became the go-to makeup artist to nearly every A-lister you can think of. And because the small town boy was an insatiable music fan, he found his friendships with female artists were the most inspiring.
